Plugin Updates worth to mention

Hi! We recently launched some updates to our main plugins and some of those updates are worth to mention so I’m starting the “Plugin Updates worth to mention” series that I will write from time to time to let you, my loved users, know about little or big changes that may occur in a more friendly way that a simple changelog. I’ve been with this idea in the last weeks and recently one of you recommended writing a newsletter to inform about updates which made me decide to finally wrote this post.

Popups Premium

My top sales plugin with over 20 k active users on wordpress.org keeps growing and growing adding new features not only to premium version but also to free core version. Most of this features are requests or feedback from you, so don’t be shy and write us.

On the core version we extended recently the already rich set of display rules with 2 new additions that were old and popular requests.

• Show after N(numbers) of pages viewed: You can choose to show a popup for example after the user visited 3 pages of your site. It’s a nice feature to show popups once you already attracted user attention, as it most probably you will do a conversion.
• Show/hide if another popup already converted: Now that you know what a conversion is (check previous link) you know that you can hide popups if the user already converted. Let’s say that for example you have two popups on your sales page. One that display 20 seconds after the user arrives with a purchase now button and another one that display on exit intent. If the user already clicked on the first popup there is no point on annoying him with another popup on exit. That’s one of the multiple situations I can image that you won’t need a popup to show i f another already worked.

On the premium version we also added a lot of features lately. The main one is that now optin forms can be customized very easily using the appearance panel. You can change background, colors, etc with a few clicks. Also we added new locations such as the top and bottom bars which are great for showing tiny messages such as coupons or daily offers to subscribers. And optin forms can be populated with simple query strings in the url such as ?email=xx@xx.com&name=dadad+dada in case you redirect users from other pages.

Geotargeting Pro

The most complete geolocation plugin for WordPress also received a couple of updates lately starting with a code refactoring that made it like 3x times faster and less resources intensive.

• Ajax mode: In order to make the plugin fully compatible with page cache plugins such as W3 total cache, WP SuperCache, Wp Rocket, etc we created the ajax mode. It basically uses one ajax call and javascript to popular all the shortcodes or filters your used once the cached page is showed.
• Bots and crawlers class was added and we changed the way they are treated in redirections and filters in order to play nice with SEO
• We extended our redirection api so users can now create redirect users based on cities and states rather than just countries

Remember these are the updates worth to mention, there are a lot more in the background happening and I do recommend read changelogs from time to time.

Facebook Login Pro

One of our newest plugin that grows on every release is the Facebook Login plugin. We recently added a way to connect facebook accounts to existing users. That means that you can not only login or register users with the plugin but you can also link your existing account with your Facebook account and use both method for login or grab your Facebook avatar.

Visual Composer Layer Images addon

We created an addon for the Visual composer plugin but we decided to stop selling it in our site and start selling it on CodeCanyon where the VC core plugin is sold. We are in the process or getting approved so stay tune for updates!
