We just launched the version 1.4.2 of the Facebook Login for WordPress plugin. This is an important update because due a recent Facebook update the new user registration was broken on some scenarios.
Facebook updated their API recently and changed the way user’s timelines urls are returned, so instead of the usernames the API is returning a very long string like this:
https://www.facebook.com/app_scoped_user_id/YXNpZADpBWEY5b3Jmc2pENXVmeDRHLVkweU9pRk1sbzRaVklZAbjUyRGo0ODVjYkR0eDlSSUpON3dydUkybGsfgAnOWM1R3JZAVHpLWW05alA0aFdiZA1JkTUtxdUxXdUw4RDVKWUs5bWNMQ1BWRGtTNQZDZD/
New WordPress version $wpdb insert method fails to insert a record when the characters are longer than the field ( You can read more about it in here) so the users where Facebook was returning long urls were simple failing into registration.
We guess this was something really new as we just got 2 support tickets today with the issue and we fixed the plugin immediately.
